Ydre Municipality, Sweden 2011 The sunken boat C318
"It's a good fit with our region where so many are fond of boats and fishing. Many who are unfamiliar with abstract art feel a satisfaction when they suddenly discover a boat in something they thought was non figurative. The painting is an excellent mingle or dialogue piece that would enliven the entry to our bright and beatiful conference room in the new city hall."
Ydre Municipality was ranked the 3rd best place to live in Sweden by Focus Magazine in 2011.

Education and Training

The family is full of artistic talent, but it took a while before Eva discovered that vein in herself. Born (1952) and raised in Sweden, she moved to Seattle, WA, USA (1967) in her teens. She graduated with honors from the University of Washington with a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and cruised into an international career in the paper industry. Mid life crisis and burnout (1991) led her to deep studies of inner processes, which altogether is the equivalent of a Master's Degree in Life Energy.

Art for Meditation

book coverLet time stand still while you ponder the paintings. Let your eyes rest, let them float through the art, allow yourself to be swept away on a “walkabout” of the mind. The longer you meditate on a painting, the more you will see. All of a sudden, it comes alive. What you see is yours to see. Some people experience Eva’s art as healing. Some see joy, where others see pain. Some become fascinated with what the image represents. What makes intuitive art so exciting, is that you can get ten different interpretations from ten different people. Try turning the images and discover something new when it’s upside down, or on it’s side…

Eva’s Art in Print

With six books published and more in the works, Eva has used her own art for several book covers. Every year she publishes an art calendar with her own paintings. A book about the space in between, Z 2 A, is richly illustrated with Eva’s art.
